Natural garden design & planting
Re-design your space for minimal maintenance and maximum habitat
We offer design, plant sourcing, and installation for all-native gardens that:- Reduce the yard maintenance burden
- Support pollinators and beneficial insects
- Bring site-appropriate and beautiful plants to the home garden
- Manage stormwater and reduce runoff
We’ll help you plan a garden that suits your space, your style, and the needs of your local ecosystem. We can also work directly with your hardscape landscaper to fill the area with indigenous plants! Pricing will vary based on size and complexity of planting.
Our plantings are made up of straight-species, pesticide-free plants that are always native to the ecoregion in which we are planting.

Lawn reduction
Take the plunge into habitat gardening.
I will help you replace part or all of your lawn with native, site-appropriate plants. More than just throwing out a seed mix, I will design and install a thoughtfully designed meadow that provides beauty and benefits.
Includes: On-site visit(s), lawn kill options + execution, planting design, and installation.

Invasive Plant Management
Lets get real about weeds.
Have you been looking for help managing weeds, but don’t know who to call and who to trust? I’m an ecologist who does her research. I bring science-based solutions and will be honest with you about options.
I use an integrated pest management (IPM) approach to invasive plant control. This means that my approach will adapt to the site, species, and level of invasion. Control methods may include hand-pulling, cutting, or herbicide applications using foliar, cut-stump, or basal bark applications.
-

Pollinator meadows
Larger-scale benefit for bees and butterflies.
If you have a large lawn, field, or other available space to devote to a habitat garden, lets make it happen. A pollinator meadow could be a large (>¼ acre) seeding of native grasses and wildflowers, just for bees and butterflies! These meadow plantings are more free-form than a residential garden design. I will work with you to determine placement and species selection, or help execute a design you may already have prepared.
-

Ecological Mapping & Historical Context
Understand the story of your landscape.
Through ecological mapping, we help you explore:- What habitats may have occurred on your land historically
- How soils, topography, and climate shape what can thrive there today
- What restoration strategies are best suited to your site
Ideal for landowners curious about their property's natural identity and potential.
Includes: site-visit and property walk, pre-visit mapping and reports, post-visit report with plant identification and management guidance
