    Invasive Plant Management

    Lets get real about weeds.

Have you been looking for help managing weeds, but don’t know who to call and who to trust? I’m an ecologist who does her research. I bring science-based solutions and will be honest with you about options.

I use an integrated pest management (IPM) approach to invasive plant control. This means that my approach will adapt to the site, species, and level of invasion. Control methods may include hand-pulling, cutting, or herbicide applications using foliar, cut-stump, or basal bark applications.

    Pollinator meadows

Larger-scale benefit for bees and butterflies.

If you have a large lawn, field, or other available space to devote to a habitat garden, lets make it happen. A pollinator meadow could be a large (>¼ acre) seeding of native grasses and wildflowers, just for bees and butterflies! These meadow plantings are more free-form than a residential garden design. I will work with you to determine placement and species selection, or help execute a design you may already have prepared.
